I wrote How-To backup and restore Origin game/s. For example I took Battlefield 3 game, but you can basically do that with any game you purchased via Origin, or game which demands Origin to work.
How-To make Origin game's backup
1. Always (whenever you install Origin) select
"Keep game installers after games have been installed".
You set that in Origin - Settings menu. Under tab "General".

2. To make backup, go to location where Game Installers are kept (default path is C:\ProgramData\Origin\DownloadCache\).
3. Copy the whole Battlefield 3 folder onto a external HDD...(or any other Origin games you want to backup).
How-To restore game backup
1. Go to location where your want your Origin game installed, created by Origin (default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\) or your custom made place, if you use one...
2. Copy Battlefield 3 folder, which you previously backed up, into that location(..restart Origin (sometimes you may have to restart computer) and option to Install game will be ready to go without the need to download it.
I also suggest copying Battlefield 3 folder in "My Documents". Simply, copy it and when you are restoring the game, paste it again to same location, after you already restored the game.
