Yesterday I installed and tried demo of game called
Magicka. The game is developed by
Arrowhead Game Studios and published by
Paradox Interactive. It was released on 25th January 2011. Magicka fits into Action Role Playing Game genre.
After finished demo version my opinion is mixed. I like few things and I dislike few.
+ spell system is nice innovation, I haven't seen it anywhere before in way as it is presented
+ I haven't seen much of story as I played only 1h. I do like the way how they bring it on, it's not original but it's cool
+ I like the characters, they are humoristic

- I dislike checkpoint system, it brings you far back from where you die
- enviroment graphics, the quality isn't as high as with spell's graphics
I suggest everyone to check out the game. Even though I dislike few details, you might like them. To find that out, you got to check it out yourself, before you can judge it.
The tip for those who are interested to buy it by GamersGate, Direct2Drive or some other Digital Download Provider ... I myself checked out GamersGate and Direct2Drive and noticed that purchase there would give me double "work", because you still need to download it via 3rd party system, and that is Steam's system. So, if I decide to purchase a game I will do it directly over Steam. And games which doesn't demand 3rd party download I'll purchase there. With single players I prefer to simply play it, without login in to steam system or any other system. Oh, since I mentioned type, Magicka is also co-op next to just single player adventure
