Next to playing different characters and fighting through the field on feet, in vehicle or jets you will notice that game has very linear levels. Not many options to go around the map itself or multiple options to get mission done,... Only few times you get a chance to open doors to breach in, when story wants you to do it. Other than that there is no variety, in fact, you might find yourself pushed by friendly AIs, in case you are standing on their spot.

By dying few times, I noticed that enemy AI was placed on exact same spot as when I had my first play-through. Enemy AI uses cover, grenades, so it isn't totally dumm. I personally don't find single-player re-playable as things are set the same way every time you load the level.

Game-play controls are simple to use, apart quick-time events where you had to response quick and it was very confusing at moments, if you are watching a story-movie, or you are suppose to do something. There are plenty of quick-time events. To me, it felt that game isn't a game, but it is interactive movie. If you fail by quick time events or die, you have to repeat the whole thing all over again. Game uses automatic checkpoint system. In last 2 missions (hard difficulty), you better be careful and not make a mistake, because you'll have to start waaaaaay back, if you die.

About graphics there is only one thing to say. At this moment Battlefield 3 is a game with best graphic on the market. The details are great, I ended up checking details around the map, instead of shooting the bad guys. Same goes for sound, sound quality is terrific. By sniping, you can hear the bullet shell touching the floor.

I didn't really have favorite moment's in single-player, in fact there was no humor. Only thing which made me laugh was few glitches/bugs, like grenade bouncing back from invisible wall. There was part where friendly AI went through close doors while I couldn't. The surprising part of that glitch was, that AI came back to open door for me, that was the only time I laughed while playing the single-player mode.

The new comers should know, that Battlefield 3's primary mode is multi-player. I can only assume, that single-player is so short because of that, it will take you from 5-7h to finish the story, depends on your game-play style.

It is also a fact this days, First Person Shooter games with more than only Single-Player mode, are in most cases shorter than 10 hours. That's why I do not recommend Battlefield 3 to those who would want to buy it only because of single-player.
My favorite mission or mission which was entertaining me tho most, was one where you get a chance to to navigate the jet. In general, to me single-player felt like one long promotion of Frostbite 2 engine. Don't get me wrong, Frostbite 2 engine is mad, but still there could be some improvements in single-player mode.
