Finally, I put together my Battlefield 3 multi-player report. I delayed it as I wanted to spent enough of time in it, to get a proper opinion about it. I can instantly tell, the fact which everyone know by now, multi-player is best part of Battlefield 3. Why? Because, it is totally opposite from single-player and co-op mode, not linear at all. You can go all over the maps, destroy buildings, vehicles, jets or helicopters, pickup many different weapons...

Once you choose "Multiplayer" menu, you get a server browser with filter. There you can set your preferences, and then join server.
After you join the server, you can choose between 4 different characters, assault(medic), engineer, support and recon. I played all classes and find them all fun, because each class has different gadgets which brings nice variety to game-play.

Assault - rifles, medic pack/grenade launcher,..., defibrillator
Engineer - carbines, anti tank mines, EOD BOT, rocket launchers
Support - light machine guns, ammo pack, mortar, c4, claymores
Recon - sniper rifles, t-ugs, soflam, mav
All classes have some incomon gear as well. Pistols, grenade/s, specializations - sprint, ammo, flak, ... There also some general weapons, which you can unlock with playing the game.
The game in general is very exciting, it has a lot of realistic details, which makes the game-play even more intense and fun. For example, the glass brakes when you shoot through it, or throw grenade in close range of window. The movement of the characters is extremely realistic, one of the best feature, I've ever seen in FPS games before. The destruction of environment is really nice and looks real too, tree will fall down if you throw grenade or drive over it with tank. Building will collapse, if you shoot at it with rocket launcher or heavy vehicles.

It might take a while, before a newcomer learns all the maps and gets use to the game-play. However, once you get a hang of the game, you'll most likely have lots of fun. I've played over hundreds of times in conquest, more then less same maps and still didn't get bored of maps, that's because you play versus different people and each of them has different game-play style. Vehicles has input to the game too, same goes for destruction of environment.
I do admit, Battlefield 3 can be very frustrating too, if teams are totally unbalanced and you end up getting spawn killed in base. Lots of times you get fragged and you don't even know from where it came. Or knowing you could do the frag, but it didn't count.
There are lots of people being frustrated from different reasons about Battlefield 3. However, not matter how much frustrated we are, we still end up playing game. That only means one thing, game is good, but couple of things still needs to be fixed by developer.
Graphic and sound quality is as excellent, as in single-player and co-op mode. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of players having artifacts problems, which is very irritating problem in Battlefield 3. DICE is saying there isn't any problem and NVIDIA not providing much feedback either, they only said that it might get fixed with next driver which will come out in January. Note, artifact problem does not appear on city maps.

User Interface(UI) is not best. However, they are slowly patching it up and making it more user friendly. Squad UI has been changed to better recently. Joining squad is more transparent now. Joining squad via party, or joining a friend via Battlelog, you'll most likely end up with your friend in squad, unless that squad is already full.
Heads up display (HUD) has been improved from release date too. The in-game chat feature is moved to left side and much less flashy as it used to be. Besides that, my favorite part of it, you can turn it off, or set it on popup with key "H" (by default). Would be nice if we could manually move around couple of things, for example, I'd like to be able to move minimap along our HUD. However, that is not highly needed feature!
Many players are complaining about in-game VOIP, it is pretty bad qualitiy from what I've tested. However I suggest to all players who play "hardcore" daily, to use alternative, Team Speak III, Mumble,...

Recently there was released first expansion for Batllefield 3. Back to Karkand - with extra maps, weapons, assignments,...
Not much changes from the general game-play, except that you can play them in Conquest Assult type, which is newly brought type to the game. Maps are entertaining, very popular since older Battlefield game. It is always nice to see new maps, so I find expansions welcome.
The good part about Back to Karkand, you can have maps from expansion or general game on same server. So, you don't need have extra server for expansion maps only.
If I sum up, the game is awesome, but it was released with a lot of bugs, even though there was closed alpha and open beta test - with plenty of feedback from testers. Besides that 6 months after game release, game still didn't get core and important bugs patched up. DICE seems to give advantage to expansions and Battlelog, instead of patching the core part of game, in-game bugs
